How to tell your crush how you feel
Be clear enough to stop guessing, without writing a speech for a relationship that does not exist yet.
Required · Write one honest sentence in your own words.
Keep the message proportionate to the relationship
A short invitation is usually easier to answer than a long declaration. Say what you feel, then offer one simple next step such as getting coffee or going on a date.
Avoid listing every sign you think proves they like you. Your goal is clarity, not a case they have to defend against.
Three ways the words can begin
01“I have really enjoyed getting to know you, and I like you. Would you want to go on a date with me sometime?”
02“I keep looking forward to seeing you, so I wanted to be direct: I am interested in you as more than a friend.”
03“This is a little vulnerable, but I have a crush on you. There is no pressure—I would just rather be honest than keep guessing.”
How long should the message be?
Usually two to four sentences. Give them the truth, one invitation, and room to answer; save the full story for a mutual conversation.
What if I barely know them?
Use interest rather than intense feeling. Ask for a low-stakes date instead of presenting a deep confession they are not ready to hold.
